Dr John McHugh
MBBS, BDS, BSc (Hons), LDS RSC, FFD RCS
"As a surgeon in the navy as well as a cosmetic surgeon, I am often deployed overseas to perform reconstructive surgery. I have met and performed surgery on thousands of people of all ages and walks of life and am overwhelmingly aware of how important it is for people to look good. Quite simply, it makes them feel better about themselves."
Dr McHugh has extensive training and experience in Oral, Maxillofacial and Cosmetic Surgery. He holds degrees in Medicine, Dentistry and Environmental Science.
Dr McHugh performs both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery on the face, breasts and body. He also offers his patients non-surgical injectable treatments.
Initially, Dr McHugh worked reconstructing faces after deformities resulting from cancer or trauma. This inspired him to further explore what could be achieved with cosmetic surgery.
Along with his passion for surgery, Dr McHugh enjoys being involved in the art world, advising artists at the Chelsea School of Art on their work. He also edits a London based monthly art magazine.
Dr McHugh is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also has a Fellowship in cosmetic surgery from the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery. He also has diplomas from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh.
