It’s difficult not to envy celebrities, especially when it comes to their easy access to all the latest and greatest aesthetic treatments that many of us can only dream about.

Costhetics says to be careful what you dream for. When we looked into the latest news and information about cosmetic surgery, we found that many of the poster children for aesthetic enhancement regret the work they’ve had done. Interestingly, both young and older stars are reaching the same conclusions. They are reversing some of their procedures and explaining exactly why.

Before we continue, Costhetics wants to make one thing perfectly clear. The choice to have cosmetic surgery or to undergo any aesthetic treatment is a personal one. This article is a report on what some celebrities have to say about their experience with aesthetic enhancement and does not advocate for or against cosmetic surgery. It is intended to inform, not influence.

The Undoing of Nicole Kidman’s Face

At 54, Nicole Kidman is one of Australia’s most recognisable stars, with a nearly unrecognisable face. She denied that cosmetic surgery was the problem but admitted a poorly administered series of fillers and neurotoxin injections left her face looking puffy and misshapen. She swears she has sworn off injectables for the future and is going all natural with nothing in my face.

Bye Boobies, Says Teigen’s 4-Year-Old

At 34, Chrissy Teigen decided she’s had enough of breast implants. The author, model and wife of singer John Legend says motherhood changed her relationship with her breasts. She announced her decision to have her implants removed, accompanied by a cheery Bye Boobies Instagram card from her daughter. Motherhood has also changed Teigen’s outlook on undergoing implant replacement surgery every ten years. A voluptuous bosom will no longer be Teigen’s goal, but she hasn’t ruled out the idea of a breast lift.

I Wish I Had Kept My Nose

At the tender age of 14, runway star Bella Hadid chose to have a nose job which she now admits she regrets. “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors,” she is quoted as saying in Us Magazine. “I think I would have grown into it.” She has had to deny rumours of eye lifts and lip fillers, and simply uses things like eye tape to pull wrinkles away. Bella says she learned to focus less on her looks. She struggles with body images and concerns about her appearance but tries to focus instead on being a total professional. “I never missed a job, cancelled a job, was late to a job. No one can ever say that I don’t work my ass off,” she says.

Feeling More Secure in Her Body: Ashley Tisdale

Actress Ashely Tisdale admitted on Instagram that she had her breasts enhanced so she would feel good enough to compete in the highly competitive world of Hollywood. The actress liked what she saw, but after the surgery she began to suffer what she referred to as gut issues. Tisdale had the implants removed in 2020 when she decided to become pregnant and to look natural.
